First 30 mins are pretty crap but then it gets really good, right tru to the end. Though 'Point Break' predated Reeves' biggest films, 'Speed' and, of course, 'The Matrix,' Bigelow still saw real potential in the actor.She would become his 'Olympic coach,' Cameron recalled. Don't scratch your head too much afterwards enjoy and just let it all flow over you. Directed by Ericson Core and written by Kurt Wimmer, the film stars dgar Ramrez, Luke Bracey, Teresa Palmer and Ray Winstone. Even so, Kathryn Bigelow's direction is so.macho.and slick, she somehow makes it all hang together without quite falling into an abyss of disbelief. Entertaining thriller even though there are some very silly bits (like Keanu jumping out of a plane without a parachute) and the overall premise does not bear too much scrutiny either. Mayhem then ensues whilst he looks for the bad guys.
Keanu works for the FBI and is looking for bank robbers who might be surfers - so undercover as a novice surfer, he meets Surfer guru, Bodhi (Swayze) and his ex-squeeze, Tyler (Lori Petty), whom he falls for.
